Information is used to respond to enquiries, provide relevant product or programme guidance, communicate with prospective or existing customers, administer and secure the website, prevent abuse and meet applicable legal obligations.
South African data-protection context
The Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) establishes minimum conditions for lawful processing and rights concerning personal information. Ecosoil intends to handle website information for defined purposes and in a manner proportionate to those purposes. This statement does not claim or guarantee legal compliance in every circumstance.
Service providers and international processing
The website is hosted by Vercel. Google Maps and YouTube content may be provided from third-party services. Analytics and tracking technologies may be used on the production website where configured. Non-essential analytics and marketing technologies are controlled through the cookie preference system; the protected preview keeps production tracking disabled.
Some service providers may process information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, Ecosoil will use providers and arrangements appropriate to the service and applicable legal requirements without representing that all processing occurs in a particular data centre.
Retention and security
Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purpose, applicable legal obligations and legitimate business records. A formal retention schedule still requires client confirmation.
Reasonable organisational and technical safeguards are used to reduce risks of loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask Ecosoil to confirm whether it holds your personal information, provide access, correct inaccurate information, request deletion where applicable, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis. Contact marketing@ecosoil.co.za. Ecosoil may need to verify the request before acting.
Questions and complaints
Questions may be sent to marketing@ecosoil.co.za. Concerns about personal-information processing may also be directed to South Africa’s Information Regulator through its official website at inforegulator.org.za. No unverified regulator contact details are reproduced here.
